The National Federation of Women Living with HIV/ AIDS (NFWLHA) conducted an event on Celebrating Women’s Achievements and Honoring the Journey of Women Living with HIV and AIDS in Nepal by marking international women’s day 2024 on 12 th march, 2024 at Hotel Himalaya, Lalitpur with a theme for this year ‘Count Her In: Accelerate Progress’. Acelebration of women changemakers in HIV. Throughout history, women have been at the forefront of social movements and driving progress including helping to end the HIV epidemic while often being overlooked. NFWLHA is planning to honor with awards to the women living with HIV from seven provinces based on her contribution to the community as a ‘HIV Warrior’ on one of the most important days of the year to: celebrate women's achievements. educate and awareness raise for women's equality. To inspire and encourage women living with HIV and honor her journey from disclosing her identity to this society where she has dealt with stigma and discrimination from her family to society. who battled for her identity and contributed to the welfare of her provinces communities.
